The Federation Destroyer Armement: 6 Type-1 Offensive Phaser Emitters, 4 Forward Firing Photon Launchers, 2 Type-3 Defense Phasers Emitters Summary: The Federation Salidin class Destroyer was built during the same time as the Constitution class Heavy Cruisers. It was an attempt to build a cheap, lighter variant of the Constitution class with nearly the same armement. Unfortunetly, the design had serious limitations. it was severly limited in power compared to the Constitution class and had trouble arming all of its weapons during combat. But this was not a major concern for the Federation as the Salidin Class has nearly the same amount of Labratory and Computer systems as the Constitution class which helped considarably for Scientific and Exploration duties if a Constitution Class vessel was not available. Also, because of ease of construction, many Saldin class vessels could be built compared to Constitution class vessels. Some other known variants of the class include the Federation Scout ship, which replaced most of its Phasers and Photon Launchers with Special Sensor equipment. These Scout ships proved vital for Exploration duties, but also for Fleet Combat action aswell.

The Federation Heavy Cruiser Armement: 6 Type-1 Offensive Phaser Emitters. 4 Forward Firing Photon Launchers, 2 Type-3 Defense Phaser Emitters, 1 Type-G Drone (Missile) Rack located at the rear of the Engineering Section. Summary: The Federation Developed the Constitution Class Heavy Cruiser in response to the Klingons D6 Battlecruiser and as a long range Exploration/Diplomatic vessel. Compared to other Major Races Heavy Cruisers, it has a large assorment of Labratory and Computers systems. Even though according to the TV show only 12 to 14 were built, in Starfleet Battles, more were produced during the General War and many were converted to Variants of the class (example, Fed CVS Strike Carrier).

The Federation Dreadnought Armement: 12 Type-1 Phaser Emiters, 6 Forward Firing Photon Launchers, 1 Type-G Drone (Missile) Rack. Summary: The Federation was actually one of the first Major races to develop a "modern" era Dreadnaught. Classed as the "Federation Class Dreadnaught", it has substantially more firepower then the Constitution class, but was expensive to operate and most were usually based in the interior of the Federation near any Starbases or Battlestations. The Federation built the Dreadnaught by studies indicating a major war might start and a need of a powerful Capitol ship, unfortunetly during the General War, the Federation Class Dreadnaught was still considered "underarmed" compared to other Major Races Dreadnaughts. This was mostly due to the Federations Philosophy of Starfleets Science/Exploration duties as even the Federation class Dreadnaught has considerable Labratory and Computer systems installed compared to other Dreadnaughts of the time period.
